Ursa Major Bistro:

Formerly known as the Blue Caribou…a change of only their name, they continue to serve up breakfast all day in downtown Beulah, as well as that great cup of coffee you need to get your day started…er, progressing…er, ended….yes, we understand that “must have coffee now!” issue that sometimes strikes. So stop by, grab a cup, and while you are there, pick something off of their menu, or have a scoop of Moomers ice cream.

Oh, wondering why they changed their name? Check out their site. Poor little Beulah Ursa Major Bistro scared the big bad Caribou…

Petals & Perks:

Still not awake? Pop over to Frankfort for another cup of Joe…and while you are sipping it, peruse the gift shop. Need some flowers to spruce up your picnic table on your private patio? Petals & Perks is also a full service floral design service. Their coffee menu is extensive and will have you zipping around in no time at all.

The Crystal Cafe

Do you like bacon?? If not, can’t help you. But if you do, The Crystal Cafe is the place for you. Seriously – they have the best bacon in the world! Serving breakfast and lunch, they have a full menu, including pizza. And they are always changing it up with their specials, so you will never be bored. The only way they could possibly make the menu better is to put bacon on EVERYTHING! In addition to a wide range of sandwiches and salads, they have a full coffee menu. Definitely worth a stop.

Did I remember to mention the bacon….

L’ Chayim Delicatessen:

With two locations, downtown Beulah (open year round), and downtown Frankfort (open May-October), L’Chayim is a must for your deli fix. Fresh made bagels, and breads, sandwiches piled high with sliced deli meats…Yum! Also serving a great cup of coffee! Although they don’t have a website, you can follow them on Facebook!

Bud’s – Coffee, Ice Cream, Food:

Their name pretty much sums it up. Located in Interlochen, Bud’s has it all. It is a charming place, with a great menu that includes ingredients from other locals, steaming hot organic coffee, ice cream, and much more. You can sit and enjoy the fireplace while you savor your favorite flavor of ice cream (yes, sometimes in northern Michigan a fireplace is nice to have when you are eating your ice cream), or if the weather is favorable, enjoy your selection on the patio.

The Red Door Coffee House:

The Red Door Coffee House in Lake Ann is another local favorite. Coffees, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches…is your mouth watering yet? A cozy place, with a play area in the back for the kiddos to use while you sit back and relax with a book and your cup of coffee. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed.
